Come Learn Hula

This free, family-friendly event will showcase:

The Ho’omaka Hanu A Ke Aloha Polynesian Dance Society demonstrating and instructing traditional Hawaiian and Tahitian dance techniques.

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM  Hula Demonstrations and Lessons for Children.  (One Hour but 40 min max of lessons).  As themed as possible to Moana.  So one dancer dressed as Moana would be perfect.  We have a wind up Hawaiian doll music box from the 1970s whose song is Pearly Shells.  A classic for children.  (Max 24)

2:30 PM -3:15 PM  Hula Lessons for Adults (and any older youth) (Max 24).    For any children and non-participants we would still be playing the Movie Moana in another place and have a craft project called give Maui an Another Tattoo using ink pads and manila paper.  There is no particular theme to the Dance except Polynesian.
